beautiful
The personal English teaching takes place in the beautiful rural surroundings of the village of Exminster which lies close to the vibrant university town of Exeter and the stunning coastline of Devon.
The village has a population of three thousand people and a rich history stretching back to Saxon times. Powderham Castle (the ancestral home of the Dukes of Devon), which is listed in the national register of historical parks and gardens, is just a few minutes drive away. The Church of Saint Martin of Tours, dating from the end of the 14th century, is also close by. Within walking distance are unspoiled wetlands, home to rare bird species, and the beautiful estuary of the River Ex. The region is considered one of the best places to live in Britain, with its incomparable beauty and close proximity to the historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth.
Exminster's surroundings enable clients to make full use of their leisure time. The golf club is located 5 minutes walk from the teacher’s home and offers a wonderful view of the River Exe where students can spend the afternoon relaxing after their English studies.
The village has many amenities. There is a shop, a chemist, a doctor's surgery, a hair salon and community facilities with a gymnasium and a family centre. There are also a number of local parks as well as wonderful cycle trails. There is a cycle path which leads from Exminster along the canal path directly to the centre of Exeter or, in the other direction, along the coast to the seaside.
